121 Postural Alignment Therapy
This is the best place to start if you're suffering pain or if you want to make improvements on the functional movement of your body.
A session lasts approx 1 - 1.5 hrs. I prefer to see people in person but I do offer Digital Therapy for those who live too far away, if you go away on business/holiday or are too immobile to get to my clinic.
A session comprises listening to you explain your symptoms and limitations, identifying your goals and what you'd like to get out of the PAT, doing a postural assessment and then I will guide you through a bespoke routine of gentle exercises (depending on what we have identified in your posture) which will help you on your journey to becoming aligned and pain free.
You will take home a 'menu' of exercises for you to do regularly at home until our next appointment. The more you do your exercises, the better results you will feel and see. If you do not do your exercises regularly, you will not feel or see long term results.
It is important to understand that Postural Alignment Therapy is not an overnight miracle cure. This is a process and, whilst one appointment may be helpful in assisting you understand your body and your pain, will not be sufficient for building solid long term progress, as your body and posture will change. We need to keep upping the challenge!
At the end of the process, you should be fully equipped with the knowledge to understand your body and pain, what each exercise does and how it works and what to do if your symptoms ever return.
Please contact me below to book an appointment, book a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you might have or simply to ask for a brochure with more information.
(No one is too old, immobile or in pain to be helped. With the right attitude and willingness to work hard, anyone can make improvements.
We work entirely within the limits of your individual body and you'll never be asked to do something which causes you pain.
You won't get sweaty; but wear tight, gym clothes. Tight clothes allow me to see your joints better and gym clothes mean you'll be comfortable in the movements!)
